NAPLAN WORKSHOPS

Literacy & Numeracy, (NAPLAN). The NAPLAN test, scheduled for Term 2 will be conducted nationally on 11th, 12th & 13th May (week 4) or 11th – 21st of May if completing online.

It is a snapshot of performance at both the individual and school level. It is not designed to be tricky……but for some students it is a source of worry and concern.

In response to this concern, we will be once again running our NAPLAN Workshop focusing on the aspects of both Literacy and Numeracy, in the 2nd week of the April school holidays. The workshop is divided into 4 separate categories:-

  • Day 1 – Morning session focuses on Language Conventions and afternoon session focuses on Writing.
  • Day 2 – Morning session focuses on Reading/Comprehension and the afternoon session focuses on Numeracy.

The Workshop aims to familiarise the students with the style of questions and the content and how best to approach these. Perhaps most importantly, the Workshop aims to develop greater self-confidence and independent thinking.
